Meron Tebeje received her master’s degree in documentary filmmaking from the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY in New York City, where she was an Ida B. Wells Fellow.
Meron has directed two short documentary films, Always Tracy and Love Soldier. Most recently she was associate producer and editor for Queermasutra Podcast, a space for Black and Brown queer and trans individuals to openly discuss desire, kink, sex work, healing, creativity, and connection. As well as an associate producer at 93rd Street Media where she worked on The West Side Familia.
Previously, Meron held internships at Ark Media and Cortés Filmworks, where she supported research, archiving, and development for documentary projects, including the upcoming PBS film Caregiving.
Meron graduated from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities with a degree in Anthropology, where she developed a passion for storytelling, memory work, and social justice.
